Holy Spirits - White Walls (video)

Nathaniel Whitcomb's videos are always so thoughtful and special; I always feel like I am opening a gift when I hit play.

Nathan captures viewers as he draws them into his 2-dimensional world and surprises them with an artistic transformation—one that guides them to place of motion, wonder and tranquility. The music he chooses to sync up with his motion collages also play a major role in this creative atmosphere. The glowing instrumentals and soft chamber pop vocals of Holy Spirits set the perfect temperature and peaceful backdrop for Nathaniel's inspiration—always brilliant (either together or alone).

According to him, this motion collage was hand cut, scanned and digitally assembled from a pile of 40-year-old National Geographic magazines. You can find more on his vimeo page or over at thinkorsmile.com

Holy Spirits' debut EP The Afternoon's Blood was released back in April. You can download it for free via their Bandcamp page (and I highly recommend that you do).

When I listen to their music, I think of the Fleet Foxes or Patrick Watson—just beautiful and eerie.
